The Performance Don’t Carry the World Upon Your Shoulders Took Place

Aug 26 — Aug 26

The performance ** Don’t Carry the World Upon Your Shoulders ** by Martina Tomić took place at the Small Stage of Dom mladih Split on 26 August 2026, as part of the Little School of Contemporary Dance. The event officially marked the end of the first semester and ushered in the second semester of the programme in 2026.

The audience had the opportunity to experience a performative lecture exploring the phenomenon of overthinking. Through movement, text and performance-based discourse, the work examines the relationship between thinking, self-questioning and the creative process.

The performance was free of charge, and the Split presentation was part of a mini-tour that had previously brought the work to Zadar for the Monoplay Festival and to Dubrovnik’s Art Workshop Lazareti.

We would like to thank Martina Tomić and the entire creative team for bringing the performance to Split, as well as the audience for supporting the programme with their attendance.

Below, we share photos from the performance.
