Mission
The mission of the dance association Tiramola is to advance and develop the independent contemporary dance scene in Split through the continuous production, education, and distribution of dance projects. Through inclusive programs, collaboration with local and international partners, and active participation in advocacy initiatives, the association creates conditions for the growth and recognition of contemporary dance as a relevant art form, while promoting inclusivity and the accessibility of culture to all social groups.
Vision
The dance association Tiramola is a leading force of the professional contemporary dance scene in Split and an important actor on Croatia’s dance map. The association’s vision is to ensure a sustainable future for contemporary dance through decentralization and networking, while continuously creating stable and adequate conditions for work and artistic creation.
The association strives to develop and strengthen the scene through the professionalization and professional development of dancers and cultural workers, ensuring that dance as an art form becomes accessible and relevant to all social groups.
Activities of the Association
- affirmation, development, and promotion of contemporary dance art
- production and distribution of artistic programs
- organization of dance trainings, educational programs, projects, and workshops for children, youth, and adults in the field of performing arts
- development of a platform for the professional development of dance educators, choreographers, dancers, and other performing artists
- participation in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops related to the goals and activities of the association, in accordance with relevant regulations
- promotion and affirmation of interdisciplinary performing, collaborative, and new media practices
- collaboration with similar associations, organizations, and artists in Croatia and abroad, as well as with those who support the work of the association
- active engagement within the independent cultural scene of the city of Split
