REPORT ON IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITIES OF THE PROGRAM “CREATIVE PULSE”

During the spring of 2026, the dance association Tiramola implemented a series of activities within the program Creative Pulse, aimed at strengthening mental health, inclusion, and creative expression among young people through contemporary dance, performing arts, and participatory cultural content.

The program was implemented in cooperation with the Technical School for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics in Split, the School of Fine Arts in Split, and the Health School in Split. Through workshops, performances, and discussions, students were given direct exposure to contemporary artistic practices and to topics relevant to their personal and social development.

The program began with a stage acrobatics workshop by Jan Hajsok (Crowd Control), held on 19 February 2026 at the Technical School for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, where students explored the possibilities of the body and group dynamics through movement and physical expression.

In March, workshops focused on developing creativity, bodily awareness, and emotional expression were conducted. Sunčica Bandić (Dance Studio MOT) led the workshop Basics of Contemporary Dance for students of the Health School, while Magdalena Rubeša from the Croatian Association for Art Therapy (HART) facilitated the workshop All the Colours of Stress for teachers from the participating schools, as well as the art-therapy workshops What Moves Everything for students of the Technical School for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and the School of Fine Arts.

The workshop program continued with Inner World, led by psychologist Klara Boraska for students of the Health School, opening a space for creative exploration of emotions and inner experiences.

As part of the collaboration with the 4th INCLUDE Festival, students also participated in artistic events that further opened up themes of mental health, empathy, and social inclusion.

On 18 April 2026, students of the Technical School for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics attended a performance of the theatre play Under Pressure, produced by Teatar Tirena at the Small Stage of the Youth Center. The performance opened a space for discussion about the pressures of growing up and the school system, expectations, and the emotional well-being of young people.

The program continued on 21 April 2026 with a screening of the award-winning film Deaf, held at the premises of the Jedna mladost Association, in collaboration with the organizations Kultura svima svugdje and Filmaktiv through the Film svima program.

The screening was attended by students of the Technical School for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and students of the Health School in Split, together with members of the Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Split-Dalmatia County. The film and the accompanying discussion opened up questions of accessibility, communication, and inclusion through the medium of film art.

The implemented activities demonstrated the importance of connecting art, education, and community, and confirmed young people’s interest in participatory cultural programs that contribute to their well-being, creativity, and active engagement in society.

The program continues until the end of the school year, with some activities also planned for the autumn.

Below we present photographs from the activities held so far.
